Friday, October 5th, 2012 will be Global James Bond Day it marks the 50th anniversary of the James Bond film franchise. It's hard to believe that it's been 50 years since the first James Bond movie was released Dr No, starring Sean Connery as Bond himself. October 5th 1962 was the day Albert Broccoli and Harry Saltzman adapted Ian Fleming’s books and brought Dr No to screen. 007 is the longest running film series in history with 23 films to date.
On that ocassion multiple events are happening around the world to celebrate the 50th anniversary of British secret agent 007: include...
A global online and live auction charity event of 50 lots to benefit twelve charitable institutions organized by Christie’s in London.
In addition, Everything or Nothing: The Untold Story of 007, a feature documentary, will be screened in Australia, Belgium, France, Holland, India, Japan, Latvia, Mexico and Russia.
A film retrospective will take place at the Museum of Modern Art in New York and a Music of Bond Night hosted by the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences in Los Angeles. In other countries, there will be special events to mark the day, too.
In Belgium and South Africa, some offices will celebrate with Bond-themed Casual Friday, where people will turn up to work dressed in gowns and tuxedos.

Roger Moore was my favorite Bond. The Moonraker is the best Bond movie ever, Jaws and the little blondie with glasses were hilarious. :)
